Soulful Blues is a new music genre created by our founder to describe music that is of traditional Soul mixed with Blues.
The genre does not use R&B styles/elements.
The cultural origin of the genre is from West London, UK with our first artist Zachary Hayes spearheading the sound & genre.
The genre is not to be confused with Soul Blues, it connects full strong passionate soul vocals with standard blues instrumentation. The music created from this allows for the feeling of traditional blues with more contemporary, polished soul elements, exploring lyrical themes of love, trauma, heartache, and life's struggles
Whilst British blues has made an impact in the music industry. We as a British independent record label acknowledge this however we want to take a new path with British Soulful Blues.
Our British Soulful Blues is not derived from American Blues but from Britain. As defined, we want to enable a movement in the music genre to have an impact and be respectful.
The British Soulful Blues Movement will be a musical phenomenon where UK musicians and artists help to identify with this distinct sound and style.
We believe in separating our blues from popular entertainment, establishing dedicated venues, and building a structured academic and cultural framework around it creating a high culture in blues.
